Job: PAYROLL MANAGER

A 50 year old, publicly traded business services company.  Deliverables  include payroll, benefits, workers’ compensation, safety and HR management. 

As a part of a professional Payroll Team you will have the opportunity to work with several different client companies; you will be encouraged to offer your thoughts on how we can process payroll better to serve our clients to the highest standard of excellence.  Your role, responsibility and input will be valued. 

Typical Duties will include:

• Run weekly, semi-monthly, bi-weekly payroll for multiple client companies
   Note – Taxation and garnishments are handled by our corporate office.          
• Maintenance/data entry of employee data to include new hires, changes, terminations, etc. 
• Troubleshooting and producing special checks as needed.
• Maintaining a high level of customer service.
• Processing payroll and benefits accrual reports; producing customized reports as needed. 
• On-site customer payroll training as needed.

• 5 years of experience processing high volume payroll
• Strong skills in Excel and generally technically literate, being able to learn and use systems quickly
• People skills enabling you to function in a team environment
• The perfectionism, attention to detail and accuracy needed to complete perfect payrolls
• Adaptability to change your process or methods depending on client needs
• Customer service ability – providing “high touch” service to our client employees
• Great attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to remain calm and focused under pressure
• Able to meet deadlines
• Upbeat and very energetic
• Strengths in multi-tasking and prioritizing
• Outstanding people skills –willing to bend over backwards to please clients and their employees
• Degree preferred
