Ideal candidate is an individual who has a strong HR Generalist background with hands-on experience in the following core HR areas: Employee Relations, Benefits (health, 401(k), workers compensation, wellness) and Recruitment. Hands-on experience would be defined as daily/weekly working experience in the previously mentioned disciplines.
Employee Relations: Discuss employee relations issues with managers and employees as needed; Coach/counsel employees and/or managers on issues; Ensure advice/recommendations are consistent with YCA policies; Assist managers in preparing appropriate documentation & meeting with employees.
Benefits: Manage health and welfare communication and administration of self-insured plan. This includes resolving any open issues, providing reports to broker from our HRIS system, and any plan design/re-design that may take place; Responsible for corporate wellness program. This includes coordinating with existing benefit vendors to leverage resources and opportunities for the program and our employees; Manage the corporate 401(k); Manage the development & communication of open enrollment materials for the annual enrollment period. Coordinate health fairs, on-site flu shots and other special events, as necessary; Serve as backup to Sr. HR Representative on monthly benefit invoices/payments and reconcile to Finance GL reports; Assist/Manage other benefit projects that come up.
Workers’ Compensation: Manage all open WC claims; Schedule and attend quarterly/semi-annual workers’ compensation claim reviews.; Process monthly/quarterly workers’ compensation invoices from carrier and/or state-specific invoices; Represent the company at any depositions.
Recruitment: Manage full recruitment lifecycle for certain business units. Including meeting with hiring managers, posting jobs, screening candidates, and background check/offer process.

Under limited supervision, this position is responsible for the ongoing development and delivery of customized human resource service solutions that positively impact clients business.
Responsible for providing guidance, training and support to clients in the areas of strategic human capital management, employment law compliance, benefits administration, employee relations, organization development, workers’ compensation administration and the overall development of best practices in human capital management.
Examples include:
*Consulting with Client companies on best practices in HR concerning the full employment life cycle, including the hiring, development, retention and termination of employees.
*Conducting on-site training in the basic of HR management, ie. selection interviewing, communication, motivation, progressive discipline, sexual harassment, wage and hour compliance.
Responsible for all components of implementing new clients into human resources and payroll processing systems, ensuring the following:
*Timely and error-free payroll processing for new clients for two to three payroll cycles before handoff to payroll team,
*Accurate and 100% compliant new hire paperwork for all employees,
*Delivery of comprehensive and customized employee and management orientation programs for new clients to ensure smooth, error-free transition
Thorough understanding of human resources principals and practices, including employment laws and regulations.
Demonstrated proficiency in conducting root cause analysis to determine optimum solutions to solve human resource issues.
Ability to conduct comprehensive HR needs assessments and analyses.
Ability to benchmark, measure, analyze and articulate the value and ROI of HR initiatives, practices and policies.
Knowledge of HR metrics and ability to assess and implement long-term goals and balance against short and intermediate-term needs of client companies.
